Welcome to the International Pedigree Assignment and Bloodline Research Association (IPABRA) Home Page! IPABRA is a model horse club dedicated to the research of equine bloodlines and its realistic application in the model horse hobby. This web site is intended to provide extensive equine bloodline and genetic information to pedigree assignment enthusiasts. We encourage you to visit often and make use of the information contained in these pages.
IPABRA was designed for those interested in pedigree assignment and to promote education in color genetics, bloodlines, and breed types. We are now 70+ members strong including many friends from overseas. We have many things to offer our members, not one of least is Bloodlines. Bloodlines is our bi-monthly newsletter, which features articles on bloodlines and pedigrees, controversial topics within pedigree assignment, color genetic information, write-ups on sires and dams, book reviews, s/d listings, and much more. We also have free Monthly photo shows that are VERY competitive – the past Top Tens are chosen from literally hundreds of championship models! This culminates in a yearly National Championship (judged in past years by Lesli Kathman, Paula Hecker, Sue Stewart, Julie Harris, D’Arry Jone Frank, Karen Beeson, Julia Lord, and Kim Bjorgo), where only the best of IPABRA meet to compete. Awards that can be won include gold and silver medallion status, supreme champion titles, ROMs and LOMs. We are unique in the fact that we also provide championship titles and ranks for high-scoring sires and dams. IPABRA also has a yearly stud book featuring over 1,000 models…a GREAT way to find a champion parent for your next prized model! Subscriptions to IPABRA are $3 a year and all newsletters are sent by e-mail. Sample issues of Bloodlines are available for just $1 (please provide e-mail).
