Welcome to the International Pedigree Assignment and Bloodline Research Association! If you are interested in pedigree research in animals and/or pedigree assignment for your model horse, dog, cat, cattle, rabbit, deer, fantasy equines, or any other animal, you’ve come to the right place. IPABRA was created for those interested in pedigree assignment and to promote education in color genetics, bloodlines, and breed types. Founded in 1999, we are now over 100 members’ strong representing countries from around the globe.
Our club offers many benefits to our members: bi-monthly newsletter, free monthly point shows, year end and cumulative awards, judging opportunities with year-end prize drawings, a free tack library to borrow tack for performance classes, bi-annual benefit auctions, a stud book of member’s breeding stock, and private yahoo group.
Bloodlines, our bi-monthly newsletter, features articles about bloodlines, horse pedigrees both real & model, controversial topics within pedigree assignment, current color genetic information, write ups on member’s sires & dams, book reviews, and much more. Bloodlines is sent via email as a Word .doc and Adobe pdf. Sample issues are available for $1.00 (USD).
We also have offer free monthly mail-in and online photo point shows for halter, performance, and blood stock. Our club halter shows are unique in the fact that we have championship titles for high-scoring sires and dams. The show season wraps up in December with the National Championships! Previous years have been judged by hobby notables such as D’arry Jone-Frank, Paula Heckler, Sue Stewart, Julie Harris, Lesli Kathman, Jackie Arns, Karen Beeson, Julia Lord, and Kim Bjorgo-Thorne.
If you would like to join, dues are only $3.00 (USD) per year and can be sent via Paypal to our Treasurer, Chris. If you need to send dues in by USPS, please contact Chris for her address.
