Monthly Halter Online Points Only Shows (HOPOS) are held the second Saturday of each month and are free to any paid member of IPABRA.
The Monthly HOPOS are held in an account at SmugMug. If you would like to enter your horses in the show, please contact Cory and let her know the initials you would like to use. Once your eligibility is verified, you will receive the album and password information.
Important information about HOPOS:
- Entrant must be a CURRENT IPABRA member.
- There is a limit of 5 (five) horses per entrant per class. This does not include foals that are entered only in the Bloodstock classes.
- The maximum photo size is 800 x 800 pixels (starting January 2021). Oversized photos will be DQd. If you need to resize your photos, a good free photo editor is Photopea.com
- Please include the following information on your entries:
- Please DO NOT put your horse’s name in the title, leave this blank
- Make sure all horse info is under the photo in the Description: First line: Horse name – shower initials Second line: (Sire x Dam) Color, Breed, Sex , Make/Model and finish (OF or CM). You may put “pending” for sire/dam if PA is not finalized and add any reference links here as well.
Bloodstock Entry format:
- Bloodstock Entry plus Foals need to be placed in the album in consecutive order.
- The photo of the sire or dam will need to have some kind of frame put around the photo so that the judge can clearly see who the parent is.
- Bloodstock entries will have a different title system than other classes:
- Sire (Dam): Number (1,2,3, etc), your 3 initials, Horse’s Name
- Foal: Same number as sire (dam), your 3 initials, Horse’s Name
- Example: sire named Dun Smokin and a foal named Raspberry Flame, the entries would go:
- 1CWA (s) DunSmokin (then add the same info as a regular entry)
- 1CWA Raspberry Flame (then add the same info as a regular entry)
- Then the next group could go:
- 2CWA (d) Al-Maison
- 2CWA Ginger Crown
- You can reuse numbers if you want – you can use the number one in JUNIOR SIRE and JUNIOR DAM, for example.
- It’s helpful to also add after the parent information, “Sire of (insert foal name(s) here) and on the foal entries, “Get of or Produce of (insert foal name(s) here).
For the list of 2022 Judges, please see the pinned announcement on our Facebook page.
