what is ipabra?
ipabra was created for those interested in pedigree assignment and to promote education in color genetics, bloodlines, and breed types.
Welcome to the International Pedigree Assignment and Bloodline Research Association. If you are interested in pedigree research in animals and/or pedigree assignment for your model horse, dog, cat, cattle, rabbit, deer, fantasy equines, or any other animal, you've come to the right place. Founded in 1999, we are now over 400 members strong, representing countries from around the globe.
Our club offers many benefits to our members: quarterly newsletter, free monthly halter & performance shows, year-end and cumulative awards, judging opportunities with year-end prize drawings, a free tack library to borrow tack for performance classes, an annual benefit pedigree auction, and a private Facebook page.
Bloodlines, our quarterly newsletter, features articles about bloodlines, horse pedigrees (both real and model), controversial topics within pedigree assignment, current color genetic information, write ups on member's sires & dams, book reviews, and much more. Bloodlines is sent via email as a PDF.
We have a private Facebook page where members can post questions, pictures, request help with breed ideas, or search for sire and dams for a new model.
We also offer free monthly online photo shows for halter, performance, and bloodstock. Our club's halter shows are different due to the fact that we have a bloodstock division to show off your stallions and mares with their offspring and earn championship titles. The show season runs from January to December and the last show of the year is our Championship show.
If you would like to join, dues are $3.00 (USD) per year starting in January and can be sent via PayPal to our treasurer. If you have any questions about the club or pedigree assignment, please feel free to contact us. We hope to see you soon!
